Rising Tide Academy- Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai, MMA

Rising Tide Academy was started in 2009 by the Stewart brothers, Mike and Jordan, who both earned their black belts in Brazilian jiu jitsu under Grandmaster Relson Gracie. Their reason for opening an academy was simple: provide the best training facilities for martial arts in Maryland.

At Rising Tide Academy, we are honored to teach authentic Brazilian jiu jitsu, also known as Gracie jiu jitsu, and authentic Muay Thai at both of our locations in Columbia and Finksburg, Maryland. We specialize in teaching practical self defense designed for modern day applications. Members can expect top notch instruction from patient and enthusiastic instructors who have dedicated their lives to teaching the amazing art of Gracie jiu jitsu and Muay Thai!

We welcome students from all backgrounds including those with no background in any martial art to seasoned, experienced wrestlers and practitioners of other martial arts. We offer classes for men, women, and children throughout the morning, afternoon, and night.
